Please Read Through Carefully - 

You are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions once you have completed and signed the Consent Form. These Terms and Conditions are the entire agreement between us. 

If you DO NOT adhere to any of our Terms and Conditions and deliberately violate them, including any aftercare, we are excluded from liability. By signing the Consent Form I acknowledge that I, the Client, my family and any associated waive the Studio & Tattoo Artist from all liability in the event of injury or consequential damages. 

ID Requirements / Consent Form / Medical History

You MUST be 18 years or above to be tattooed at this Studio - We Do Not tattoo minors 

We DO NOT accept parental consent as a form of authorisation.

Please ensure you bring valid ID with you as this is a requirement upon making a booking. (Current Driver’s License / Valid Passport).  

  • We have the right to refuse anyone who does not provide appropriate ID.

You will be provided a copy of these Terms and Conditions, a Consent/ Medical form and Before Care instructions at your first consultation. Ensure the consent form is filled out correctly. This is a legal document in which we take seriously, make sure it is signed, dated and handed to your Tattoo Artist. 

  • If any of the information you provide is false, or you are not willing to provide use with your Medical History, we have the right to refuse / terminate your appointments and or any future appointments. Clients must disclose any medical conditions that could pose a risk to themselves, our staff, or other clients.

If we feel that your current/past medical history might affect the tattooing, we have the right to refuse clients.

Unfortunately we do not tattoo anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding. 

 Black Rock Tattooing keeps all records and confidential information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988(Cth) (“Privacy Act”). 

I understand that tattoos are permanent and will change my appearance and skin for life.

Black Rock Tattoo maintains the highest standards of health and safety for both our staff and clients. We adhere to all health and safety procedures set out by the Department of Health, having full compliance with sterilisation, hygiene and cross-contamination procedures. The Studio is registered with the Environmental Health Department ( Shire Wyndham East Kimberley) and we continue to adhere to all regulations set out for the purpose of tattooing.

I have been informed of the potential risks associated with getting a tattoo, I understand that these risks known or unknown can lead to the following but not limited to- infections, allergic reactions, skin allergies, scarring and skin discolouration. Also, the risks associated with tattoo balms, inks, latex gloves and metals. Clients are aware that if they have damaged skin before the tattoo, such as sunburns, scars, skin pigmentation or other factors, this can significantly change the outcome of the tattoo. The Tattoo Artist will assess each client & give advice if this is a problem. 

 We DO NOT tolerate aggressive behaviour, abuse or bullying. If our staff/artists feel threatened or disrespected in any way, they have the right to terminate the session, refuse service, and forfeit any payments made. 

We have the right to REFUSE clients if they appear to be under the influence of drugs and / or alcohol and any deposits will be lost.

We DO NOT have the facilities to cater for under 18’s. Please don’t bring children to the Studio.

Consultations are free

A deposit is required to secure an appointment / tattoo session this is $80 upfront.

Deposits are NON – REFUNDABLE 

The deposit is accounted towards the total tattoo price.

The price of the tattoo is determined by your Tattooist. It is your responsibility to get confirmation of the final cost of tattoo. If you do not confirm this with your Tattoo Artist, once the tattoo is complete, you are obligated to pay the amount of which the Tattoo Artist declares. 

We require an email in the event of the following, failure to do so could forfeit your deposit. The email must include your full name, phone number, appointment date and time.

Cancellation- All appointments require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellation.  If cancelled with over 48 hours’ notice, your deposit may be applied to a future appointment.  DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

Reschedule- All appointments require at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule.  If at least 48 hours’ notice is given, your deposit may be applied to your new appointment.  If an appointment is rescheduled more than twice, your deposit will be forfeited.

Late- Please let us know if you are running late for an appointment. If you’re 30 minutes or more late for an appointment without advance notice, you may forfeit your deposit, lose your appointment and be required to pay another deposit. 

After Care

Once you walk out of the Studio It is your responsibility to care for your new tattoo and follow the Tattoo Artist’s aftercare advice. At your consultation you will be provided with Instructions for Before Care-this will help prepare your skin & give the artist a better canvas to work on. When your tattoo is complete your Tattoo Artist will give you a detailed explanation for the After Care Treatment, this will also be emailed to you, for your reference. Black Rock Tattoo & Design will not be held liable for any aftercare or healing of your tattoo. 

It will take at least 4 – 6 weeks for your tattoo to heal, once it has healed you are welcome to a complimentary touch up. Touch ups are done within 3 months of initial tattoo. If you have not adhered to the aftercare instructions, we have the right to revoke the complimentary touch up treatment.

The complimentary touch up is not to change the design, shape, colour or add to the tattoo. If you would like to change /add to your tattoo, we would be more than happy to do this for you, and you will be charged accordingly.
